Holiday season is here and so is your irritated dry skin!
Dry Skin means an onslaught of fine lines and wrinkles, caused by frequent unprotected sun exposure, dehydration, a build-up of toxins, and a lack of nutrients, vitamins and minerals crucial to your skins regeneration and restoration.
As you age, your skin’s ability to retain moisture rapidly diminishes. Not many are aware that the food you eat plays a vital role in your skins overall health and visible appearance.
If your looking in the mirror and frustrated with what you see…There Is HOPE….It’s not too late! Along with booking a personalized monthly FACIAL I encourage you to follow some of these guidelines at home on a routine basis to improve and enhance your skin’s hydration level.
Dry Skin Tips:
Avoid washing your face with hot water, use warm instead.
Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Give your skin plenty of gentle through stimulation. Try: Ayurmedic-Orange Blossom
Use non-detergent cleansers. Try: Yonka-Lait Nettoyant
To calm skin and rid it of redness and inflammation use a serum immediately after cleansing followed by a moisturizer. Try: IS Clinical-Pro Heal along with Skin Ceuticals- A.G.E Interrupter
Book a 1 1/2 hour “YOUTHOLOGY” facial with me !!!! You wont regret it!
Dry Skin Supplements:
-Daily multivitamins: supplements a healthy diet with added nutrients.
-Vitamins A & B: increase the skin hydration.
-Vitamin E/Fish Oils: replenish dull and lifeless skin.
Dry Skin Diet Recommendations:
Cantaloupes, carrots, sweet potatoes and apricots are healing foods for dry skin because they are rich in Vitamins A & C, high in beta-carotin and antioxidants, important for your skins ability to self-exfoliate.
Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds and nuts. Garlic, onions, eggs and asparagus are high in sulfur, which help keep your skin smooth and youthful.
Drink plenty of H20 to prevent dehydration.
Avoid and abundance of junk foods including those high in sugar, salt, oil, and unhealthy fats. Alcohol and caffeine have a diuretic effect, causing your skin cells to lose fluids and essential minerals.
