Joel Siegel, MD received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Queens College, City University of New York in Flushing, New York where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Shortly after, he received his Medical Doctorate from the State University of New York located in Brooklyn. He served a medical internship at the Long Island College Hospital also located in Brooklyn and a residency in dermatology from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he served as chief resident.

Following his formal education, Dr. Siegel worked at the Nu/Hart Hair Clinics in Pittsburgh as a hair restoration surgeon. Shortly after, he established a private dermatology practice in Washington, Pennsylvania. During this time Dr. Siegel served as the chief of the department of dermatology at the Washington hospital and as a clinical instructor for the Family Medicine Residency Program at the Washington Hospital.

Dr. Siegel is board certified in dermatology and a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
